Belarusian Air Force, Air Defense units redeploy as part of army test

MINSK, 21 March (BelTA) – Units of the Air Force and Air Defense Command of the Belarusian army have moved to new positions and deployed for combat duty, representatives of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

The Belarusian army continues undergoing a comprehensive test ordered by the head of state. As part of the test Air Force and Air Defense units moved to designated areas and deployed for combat duty within the allocated time. Radar coverage was expanded thanks to actions of mobile low-altitude radar teams. Air Force units have yet to disperse some assets and forces.

Military registration and enlistment offices continue sending mobilized reservists to the army on time. As part of the checkup women, who are liable for military service and have the relevant military qualifications, have been enlisted, too. A total of 50 women will be enlisted. Those are primarily medics, said representatives of the Belarusian Defense Ministry.

The reservists are being trained in combat. A number of measures are being taken to prepare the physical infrastructure and exercise areas for practical training.
