BelarusDent dental industry expo opens in Minsk

MINSK, 18 October (BelTA) – Dental care providers hold about half of the licenses issued in the Belarusian healthcare sector, Healthcare Minister Valery Malashko told the media after the ceremony to open the 13th international exhibition “Dentistry of Belarus 2017” (BelarusDent), BelTA has learned.

Today there are more than 2,000 license holders in the Belarusian healthcare sector. About half of them are the centers providing dental services. The private sector holds the biggest share in dentistry - almost 80%. By developing the private dental service, the healthcare ministry expects the sector to develop at the accelerated pace thanks to the use of advanced technologies, which will lead to the growth of the economy primarily through the export of dental services.

According to the minister, BelarusDent is a professional platform that integrates modern medical equipment manufacturers, pharma producers, developers of innovative technologies. The exhibition features about 60 companies from 14 countries who will showcase the equipment for dental surgeries, tools, materials, X-ray machines, dental care accessories.

The goal of the exhibition and the conference is to increase the level of dental care, to raise public awareness and to share best practices.
