MINSK, 28 December (BelTA) – Belarus Deputy Prime Minister Anatoly Kalinin visited the Gorodishche boarding home for special needs children with disabilities on 27 December as part of the nationwide charity campaign “Our Children”, BelTA learned from director of the institution Mikhail Borisevich.
This is not the first time the deputy prime minister has visited this institution. Anatoly Kalinin wished a Happy New Year to the children and the whole team, thanked them for the work. He also brought gifts, including home appliances, two telescopic ramps, a computer, an industrial blender, musical equipment and also candies.
In return, the kids showed a colorful performance, dances, and played games together with the guests.
The boarding house enrolls 202 children and young people with disabilities aged between 4 to 35. Pupils with special needs need constant care and assistance. They live in the institution, undergo medical and socio-pedagogical rehabilitation, and attend special programs.
