Belarus, Ukraine to continue to conduct joint border security operations

MINSK, 14 November (BelTA) – The border agencies of Belarus and Ukraine will continue to conduct joint special operations. The statement was made during a working meeting between Chairman of the Belarusian State Border Committee Anatoly Lappo and head of the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service Petrо Tsyhykal in Kiev on 14 November, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee of Belarus.

“The parties exchanged information on the situation on the Belarusian-Ukrainian state border and its security status this year. The heads of the agencies reviewed the results of the special joint border operation Border 2017 and recognized the need to continue the practice of holding such events in 2018,” the committee informed.
