MINSK, 22 May (BelTA) - Belarus will take part in the international aviation and space salon MAKS 2017 which is due to take place in Zhukovsky, Moscow District on 18-23 July, Chairman of the Belarusian State Military and Industrial Committee Sergei Gurulev told the media, BelTA has learned.
“The well-known exhibition MAKS will be taking place soon. We are participating in it,” said Sergei Gurulev.
Belarus' stand will be organized by Beltekhexport. Taking part in the expo will be more than ten organizations that make part of the State Military Industrial Committee, the defense sector of the national economy. Among them will be 558th Aviation Maintenance Works (Baranovichi), which signed two contracts with Russian Helicopters at MILEX 2017 expo.
The MAKS 2017 program will include different scientific conferences and symposiums. They provide scientists and specialists with the opportunity to share opinions on the aviation and space exploration development.
The Belarusian defense technology expo MILEX 2017, one of the most promising and important expos in Belarus, is taking place in Minsk on 20-22 May. In its scale and representation, the expo is considered to be one of the biggest forums in the East-European region.
