Belarus to increase medicine exports to Moldova

CHISINAU, 20 October (BelTA) - Belarus plans to increase supplies of medications to Moldova. The matter was discussed at a meeting between Belarus' Ambassador to Moldova Sergei Chichuk and Minister of Healthcare, Labor and Social Protection of Moldova Stella Grigoras, BelTA learned from the Belarsuian embassy in Moldova.

Attending the meeting was Director of the Medicines and Medical Devices Agency of Moldova Vladislav Zara and Director General of the Management Company of the Belpharmprom Holding Company Valery Shevchuk.

The sides discussed bilateral cooperation in healthcare, pharmaceuticals and the improvement of the legal framework of the cooperation in the labor and social security sector.

Not long ago the Belarusian Center for Expertise and Testing in Healthcare and the Medicines and Medical Devices Agency of Moldova signed a memorandum of cooperation. The document envisages quality control and effectiveness of medicines, the support of producers of the two countries in the medicine licensing procedure, the recognition of pre-clinical and clinical research, including in bioequivalence.
