Belarus to hold Information Security Week

MINSK, 6 March (BelTA) – The Information Security Week will be held in Belarus for the first time, BelTA learned from the organizers.

The week will be running in Minsk from 24 to 30 March under the aegis of the Science and Technology Association Infopark, the Operations and Analysis Center under the President and OAO AGATE-Control Systems.

“This is an unprecedented event for the information security market and also for the state bodies and regulators who will be jointly seeking solutions to the specific challenges in this field. Special attention will be paid to the education and training programs, to the training of professionals of the highest level,” the organizers said.

The International IT Security Conference 2018 will take place on 29-30 March, which among other things will discuss Ordinance No. 8 on the development of the digital economy that enters into force on 28 March.

The program of the week also includes a roundtable on current problems of cybersecurity in the IT space, a series of practical workshops at universities, a seminar on information security and cooperation among the countries of the Eastern Partnership and the European Union.
