Belarus submits IAEA's SEED mission report to European Commission

MINSK, 12 June (BelTA) – Belarus has submitted the SEED mission's final report to the European Commission, Lilia Dulinets, Deputy Director of the Nuclear Energy Department of the Belarusian Energy Ministry, said in an interview with BelTA.

Lilia Dulinets said that as soon as Belarus received the final report of the International Atomic Energy Agency with the results of the SEED mission, the report was posted in full and with free access on the website of the Energy Ministry.

“The report has been submitted to the Espoo Convention Secretariat. I would like to note that the session of the Meeting of the Parties to the Espoo Convention held in Geneva in 2014 suggested that Belarus could host such a mission. The final report has also been sent to the Directorate-General for Energy of the European Commission,” Lilia Dulinets added.

Belarus hosted a Site and External Events Design (SEED) mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency from 16 to 20 January 2017.
