Belarus, Serbia discuss cooperation in mass media

MINSK, 21 February (BelTA) - Development of cooperation in the field of press and information was discussed in a meeting between Belarus' Information Minister Alexander Karlyukevich and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Serbia to Belarus Veljko Kovacevic, BelTA learned from the Information Ministry.

The parties paid special attention to mutual translation and publication of works of Belarusian authors in Serbia and Serbian authors in Belarus.

The parties agreed on the development of interaction in the media sphere, including through the establishment of partnerships between the leading print and electronic media outlets.

Information Minister Alexander Karlyukevich and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Serbia to Belarus Veljko Kovacevic discussed the participation of Serbia in the 25th edition of the Minsk International Book Fair which will be held on 28 February – 4 March.

The Serbian delegation to the Minsk book fair will be headed by State Secretary for Media at the Ministry of Culture and Information Aleksander Gajovic.
