VITEBSK, 25 September (BelTA) – Vitebsk is hosting the heads of the archive services and national archive agencies of Belarus and Russia on 25 September, BelTA learned from the Department of Archives and Office Work of the Belarusian Justice Ministry.
Participants of the joint session of the Department of Archives and Office Work of the Belarusian Justice Ministry and the Federal Archival Agency of Russia are set to discuss best practices of making information of national archive agencies available on the Internet and to take part in the conference “Storage, preservation and use of documents of non-governmental organizations”.
In recent years, meetings of the heads of the archive services and national archive agencies of Belarus and Russia have become an important event in activities of the archive agencies of the CIS member states. Such events give a strong impetus to strengthening cooperation between the archive agencies of the CIS member states and studying experience in keeping archives.
