Belarus, Russia to discuss visa recognition agreement on 18-19 April

MOSCOW, 14 April (BelTA) – The preparation of the Belarusian-Russian agreement on mutual visa recognition will be discussed at the meeting of the interstate ministerial working group on the elaboration of recommendations for the coordinated migration policy at the Interior Ministry of Russia in Moscow on 18-19 April, BelTA learned from the Union State Permanent Committee.

“The parties are set to discuss the most problematic issues of migration regulation, including the implementation of the plan of action to develop the unified migration space for 2017-2020, the preparation of draft international agreements in the area, including the preparation of the agreement on mutual visa recognition. The parties will also exchange information on the recent changes in the legislation of Belarus and Russia, including in the area of the legal status of foreign citizens and stateless persons,” the Standing Committee said.

The interstate ministerial working group on the elaboration of recommendations for the coordinated migration policy comprises representatives of different ministries and agencies of Belarus and Russia, and also the Union State Permanent Committee.
