Belarus, Russia setting up youth business incubator

MINSK, 17 July (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia are setting up a youth business incubator, BelTA learned from secretary of the Central Committee of the BRSM Youth Union Aleksandra Goncharova.

“We plan to develop a regulation on the first youth business incubator of the two countries in the near future. It is possible that we will be able to open it this year. The incubator will operate on the basis of the major universities of Belarus and Russia and will help students implement joint business projects,” said Aleksandra Goncharova.

The youth of the two countries has been steadily developing bilateral cooperation. Traditional projects include the international interuniversity competition of grace and artistic skills Queen Spring, the international youth camp Be-La-Rus, the Youth for the Union State festival in Rostov-on-Don. The two sides hold regular creative exchanges and volunteering projects. The Youth Chamber at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia has launched its activity, said Aleksandra Goncharova.

In turn, second secretary of the Central Committee of the BRSM Youth Union Oleg Dikun spoke about the development of youth cooperation between the two countries in the part of students' teams. The joint Belarusian-Russian students' team has been working at the construction site of the Belarusian nuclear power plant through 25 August. Another joint students' team (pedagogical) is currently working in the Komsomolsky children's camp of the All-Russian Children's Center Orlenok (Krasnodar Krai). Twelve Belarusian students' teams have already left for Russia. In the near future two more will go there: to Moscow Oblast and St. Petersburg to reconstruct the objects of the Tsarskoe Selo museum-reserve.

The cooperation agreement between the Russian Students' Teams and the BRSM Youth Union was signed in May 2013.
