MINSK, 15 March (BelTA) - The Belarusian Emergencies Ministry plans to establish ties with Nicaragua emergencies service, Vitaly Novitsky, the official representative of the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry, told BelTA.
“Belarus' Deputy Emergencies Minister Gennady Lasuta met with Edmond Barrera Telavera, the Director of the Nicaraguan Institute of Territorial Studies (INETER) of the National System for Disaster prevention, Mitigation and Relief (SNPMAD), and gave him a draft agreement on cooperation,” Vitaly Novitsky said.
Edmond Barrera Telavera also visited the University of Civil Protection of the Emergencies Ministry. The head of the university Ivan Polevoda briefed the guest about the institution. Edmond Barrera Telavera visited the classrooms, the library and information center and got familiar with the university's infrastructure and the educational process.
