MINSK, 22 September (BelTA) – The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) and the South Korean company LG Electronics Inc. are co-implementing four projects in new materials, refrigeration systems (heat and mass transfer), and green technologies, BelTA learned from the NASB press service.
The meeting of the technical consultative council of the NASB and LG Electronics took place at the NASB on 21-22 September. The meeting was attended by a delegation of specialists and experts led by Jeong-Soo Lee, First Vice President of LG Electronics Inc., Director of LG's Materials & Devices Advanced Research Institute. The sides reviewed the progress in the cooperation between the NASB scientific organizations and LG Electronics. The NASB and LG Electronics will define new avenues of joint research after an expert evaluation is carried out.
According to a NASB-LG Electronics agreement, the technical consultative council should convene at least once a year to discuss scientific research (projects) or to exchange various general information. The council is empowered to draft the list of projects to be co-implemented by the NASB and LG Electronics. Belarus is represented in the body by the NASB leading scientists, heads of higher educational institutions and scientific organizations.
