Belarus Labor Ministry to sign cooperation agreements with Russia's Tatarstan, Astrakhan Oblast

MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) – The Belarusian Labor and Social Security Ministry will sign agreements on cooperation in the development of social care and labor sectors with relevant ministries of Russia's Astrakhan Oblast and Tatarstan during the Belarus-Russia Forum of Regions, Belarusian Labor and Social Security Minister Marianna Shchetkina told reporters on 25 May.

“We will sign two agreements on cooperation, exchange of experience, and collaboration in the development of social care and labor sectors with relevant ministries of Astrakhan Oblast and Tatarstan,” Marianna Shchetkina noted.

She pointed out that the delegation of the Belarusian Labor Ministry to the Belarus-Russia Forum of Regions has plans to attend many events. One of them will be a roundtable on innovations in the organization of the work with the elderly and people with disabilities.

Marianna Shchetkina added that Belarus needs to find new points of contact and identify problem areas in cooperation with Russian colleagues. “The legislations of the two countries cannot be fully unified. Still, we should make everything possible to ensure that Belarusian and Russian citizens continue to enjoy their rights and social guarantees when travelling to Russia and Belarus respectively,” the minister stressed.
