MINSK, 24 August (BelTA) – There is no information on Belarusian nationals affected by a powerful earthquake in Italy, the Embassy of Belarus in Italy said in its Twitter account, BelTA has learned.
“According to media reports, the earthquake left 22 dead and injured many more. There is no information on any Belarusians among the victims,” the embassy said.
The embassy has been closely tracking the situation in central Italy.
The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs have asked people, whose relatives are staying in the regions struck by the earthquake and do not get in touch, contact the ministry dialing +393454803465.
