Belarus, China continue to develop cooperation in science

MINSK, 23 May (BelTA) – Belarus-China scientific and technical cooperation is constantly developing, Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Belarus Luo Zhanhui said at the opening ceremony of the 2nd Forum of the Silk Road High-Tech Park Association (SRSPA), BelTA has learned.

“I would like to stress that all-round Belarus-China bilateral ties have become an example of interstate relations in the modern world. This forum makes an important and essential part of a new chapter in Belarus-China cooperation. If our countries unify their intellectual potential, this will help promote scientific and technical development both in China and Belarus. Belarus-China scientific and technical cooperation continues to develop,” Lou Zhanhui remarked. He also thanked the representatives of scientific community for their fair contribution to the promotion of Belarus-China bilateral relations.

In turn, Director General of the Industrial Park Development Company Li Haixin noted that innovations, science and technologies are the most important manufacturing power. “We have already built the necessary infrastructure to develop the industrial park. We have all the necessary conditions to attract investors. The Belarus-China Center for Commercializing Innovations was set up in the industrial park to prepare scientific and technical achievements for commercialization. This should be done to develop science, technology, and hi-tech on the park's basis," Li Haixin noted.

The 2nd Forum of the Silk Road High-Tech Park Association (SRSPA) will extend till 25 May. The forum gathered representatives of 10 countries. Established in July 2016 with the assistance of China's Ministry of Science and Technology, the SRSPA association is designed to develop innovative infrastructure and expand scientific and innovative cooperation between the Silk Road member states. The association comprises scientific and technological organizations, R&D centers, agencies providing relevant services, and R&D institutions from a number of countries.
