MINSK, 2 December (BelTA) – The International Bank Note Society (IBNS) has nominated Belarus' 100 ruble note of the 2009 design for the IBNS Banknote of the Year title. The list of nominees is posted on the website of the organization.
Banknotes nominated must have been issued to the public for the first time during the year of the award. Any IBNS member can suggest nominees provided he explains his choice. Nominations for the award are open up to 31 January 2017.
The winner will be announced at the first IBNS Board meeting of 2017.
The 2015 Banknote of the Year title went to New Zealand's five-dollar note.
