MINSK, 22 May (BelTA) – Baranovichi-based 558th Aircraft Repair Plant and the Russian Helicopters Holding Company have signed two contracts, BelTA has learned.
The documents were signed at the international defense technology expo MILEX 2017 in Minsk.
The first contract pertains to design-technology support of the thorough overhaul of the helicopters Mi-8 and Mi-17. The second document was concluded to provide services of design-technology support of the thorough overhaul of the abovementioned helicopters.
According to the aircraft repair plant, the parties have cooperated on repairs before, but on a smaller scale. The contracts will open new prospects for long-term cooperation. It is a big step forward.
The Belarusian defense technology expo MILEX 2017 is one of the most promising and important expos in Belarus. In its scale and representation, the expo is considered to be one of the biggest forums in the East-European region.
