Audit agencies of Belarus and Russia sign joint action plan for 2016

MOSCOW, 26 November (BelTA) – The Belarusian State Control Committee and the Accounts Chamber of Russia signed a joint action plan for 2016 in Moscow on 26 November, BelTA has learned.

Chairman of Belarus' State Control Committee Leonid Anfimov told reporters that the cooperation of Belarusian and Russian audit bodies is not limited by their functional duties to supervise the use of the Union State budget funds, the payment and distribution of customs duties in the Customs Union and the Eurasian Economic Union. “We already go beyond this limit and are trying to conduct comprehensive audits of the work of economic operators within the framework of the Union State relations,” Leonid Anfimov said. “First of all, the head of state instructed us to monitor and supervise the use of funds for the construction of the Belarusian nuclear power plant. Therefore, we are planning to conduct a very serious audit regarding the observation of legal regulations in the financing of the manufacture of equipment and construction works are the nuclear power plant.”

According to Leonid Anfimov, two audits of the use of the Union State budget funds will be performed next year. These audits will deal with two programs on composite materials and new varieties of potatoes and topinambour. Apart from that, the agencies will look into the distribution of customs duties between the Eurasian Economic Union member states.
