DAKAR, 26 April (BelTA - Xinhua) - At least 19 people have been killed and two others missing as a canoe capsized on Monday evening in an island village in the town of Toubacouta, in southwest Senegal, the Senegalese news agency reported on Tuesday.
According to the agency, the canoe was carrying about sixty women, three of them were pregnant.
The victims of the accident were returning from an oyster harvest in the islands.
