MINSK, 21 August (BelTA) – MPs are open to dialogue with all the citizens, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko told the media on 21 August, BelTA has learned.
“I will say for sure that the authorities work for people. The most important thing today is, of course, to preserve the state and stability. For this, we all need to observe the Constitution, the rule of law. We all need to calm down, get away from these emotions, start thinking sober. MPs are open to dialogue with any forces and with all our citizens,” Vladimir Andreichenko said.
The speaker stressed that in the mid-session period MPs have been actively working on draft laws. Among them are draft Code on Administrative Offenses and the draft Procedural Law Code for Administrative Offenses which are being prepared for consideration in the second reading at the autumn session. A bill on economic entities and the most important document - the country's budget for 2021 - are in the works, too. The second important area is the work in the districts, communication with the population. “We see that people are expressing great concern about what is happening in Belarus today. They say that we have all built our home together, a sovereign, independent state, which is recognized worldwide today and has great authority on the international arena. Therefore, no one has the right, neither external nor internal forces, to destabilize the situation. Otherwise we will lose our country,” he concluded.
