Hama, 11 June (BelTA - SANA) – In the heart of Al-Jazdan neighborhood in Hama downtown, an ancient bakery engraved into rocks about a century ago is located in a special place to tell the story of people and bread over 100 years.
The bakery's owner Akram Qanbar told SANA that the bakery with the wood fired stone oven (Tannour) dates back to the 30's of the last century, adding that the place was engraved using simple equipment and hand-made tools.
He noted that the visitors can feel the history once they reach the bakery, especially the rocks which reflect the strength, determination of our ancestors and their firm will to live and work hard despite all circumstances.
