About 100 participants ready to take part in Mass Media in Belarus expo

MINSK, 29 April (BelTA) – Nearly 100 participants have confirmed their readiness to take part in the 21st international exhibition Mass Media in Belarus, Deputy Information Minister Alexander Karlyukevich told the media on 29 April, BelTA has learned.

The forum will feature Belarusian news agencies, editors' offices, and media publishing houses. Among the invitees are Chinese and Russian mass media. The forum will showcase the Union State publications and also materials circulated among the Belarusian diaspora in Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, and Russia.

The conference Mass Media in the Changing World: Professionalism and Responsibility will be one of the central events to highlight information security. Belarusian TV channels will present their projects.

Regional publications will be widely on display as well. They will highlight Year of Science in Belarus theme among other things.

The 21st international expo Mass Media in Belarus will take place at 14 Pobeditelei Avenue in Minsk on 3-6 May. The event will present the history of mass media in Belarus with the help of the country's oldest periodical publications and display cutting-edge communication technologies. It will also showcase ways of distributing diverse and relevant high-quality information through all communication channels, first of all, by multimedia companies. Winners of the national print media competition Zolotaya Litera (Golden Letter) will be honored as part of the expo.

The Mass Media in Belarus expo is organized by the Belarusian Information Ministry and the National Exhibition Center Belexpo with the support of Minsk City Hall, the National TV and Radio Company, the Union of Publishers and Distributors of Printed Products, the House of Press, and the Belarusian Union of Journalists.
