15th International Art Colony opens in Bosnia and Herzegovina

JAHORINA, 17 July (BelTA - FENA) - 15th International Art Colony "ART symposium Jahorina 2017", which gathered 20 painters, sculptors and graphic artists from Japan, Korea, Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia, Croatia and BiH, opened on Mount Jahorina.

Founder and art manager of the Colony Lazo Savić told FENA that main topic this year is “Figure in Contemporary Art – Large Format”, but some artists will experiment with their own themes.

He added that artists will use different material and techniques.

Colony will be closed on July 23with an exhibition of artworks made this year.

Aim of this renowned cultural event is to affirm fine arts and art in general, development of ecological awareness, promotion of tourism in area of Republika Srpska, Federation of BiH and states in the region and in the world, including contribution to making Jahorina recognizable as a cultural destination.
