15 killed, 30 injured in blast in NW Pakistan

PESHAWAR, 21 January (BelTA - APP) - At least 15 people were killed and 30 others injured in a bomb blast that hit a vegetable and fruit market in Pakistan's northwest tribal region of Kurram Agency on Saturday morning, officials said.

Initial report suggests that the explosive material was kept in vegetable crates that exploded during auction of the vegetables in the central sabzi mandi.

Injured have been shifted to to the hospital.

Security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation in the nearby areas.
