State agrarian policy improved in Belarus

MINSK, 2 February (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko signed Decree No. 50 to improve the state agrarian policy, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The document introduces amendments to Decree No. 347 of 17 July 2014 “Concerning the state agrarian policy”. It added lists of measures in the agricultural industry which can be financed from the national and/or local budges. These lists have been determined annually in accordance with the law on the republican budget for the next financial year.

The Agriculture and Food Ministry (in coordination with the Finance Ministry) and the oblast executive committees are entitled to approve the procedures for using budgetary funds within the framework of financing state programs in agribusiness for the period of their implementation.

Oblast agricultural committees and district agricultural committees are entitled to finance additional payments to the salaries of young specialists, and other payments.
