BOROVLYANY, 7 October (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko promised to consider building a hall of residence for young doctors in Borovlyany. The issue of housing for young healthcare specialists was raised by the participants of the nationwide scientific conference “New technologies in medicine” with whom Alexander Lukashenko met as he visited the N.N. Aleksandrov National Oncology and Medical Radiology Center on 7 October, BelTA has learned.
The President gave an instruction to calculate construction costs and to provide corresponding information to him.
At the beginning of the meeting the President urged scientists, heads of medical centers and healthcare workers present at the conference to discuss and try to solve all issues. The head of state praised cutting-edge cancer diagnostics equipment used at the center. In particular, the positron emission tomography center and the national molecular genetics lab for cancer research opened on 7 October. These facilities will help promote cancer diagnostics to a brand-new level.
