Putin invites Lukashenko to go skiing in Krasnaya Polyana

SOCHI, 22 February (BelTA) – Russian President Vladimir Putin invited Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko to go skiing in Krasnaya Polyana as the two presidents held talks on 22 February, BelTA has learned.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Russian leader welcomed the high level of strategic partnership between the two countries. According to him, the agenda of today's meeting is very extensive. At the same time, Vladimir Putin expressed hope that after discussing important matters, the heads of state would be able to take a break and have some rest.

“I am very glad to see you. I hope we will be able to spend some time together, take a break after today's work. I would like to invite you to go skiing,” the Russian president said.

“I appreciate the invitation to go to the mountains for a little while and get some fresh air in this turbulent time,” Aleksandr Lukashenko replied.
