Proposal to hold Belarus-Ukraine interregional cooperation forum

KIEV, 21 July (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko invited Ukraine to arrange an interregional cooperation forum during the talks with Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko, BelTA has learned.

“Belarus has been developing strong regional ties with Russia, China and other big states. Maybe we should explore this matter and organize such interregional forums,” the Belarusian leader said.

The president proposed the city of Gomel as the venue for such forum. In the future such forums could be held alternately in Belarus and Ukraine.

According to Alexander Lukashenko, interregional cooperation has an enormous positive impact.
