MINSK, 1 February (BelTA) – The reconstruction of a bridge over the Pripyat River in Zhitkovichi District has been included in Belarus' State Investment Program for 2018 approved by Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
In accordance with the 2018 program, the state will start financing the construction and renovation of 30 facilities, including the bridge over the Pripyat River on highway P88 between Zhitkovichi and the Ukrainian border.
It is expected that the bridge in Zhitkovichi District will be opened in December 2018, The reconstruction is now underway and the bridge span is to be replaced.
A pontoon bridge has been used to cross the Pripyat River since a crack was detected on the stationary bridge in December 2017.
