Lukashenko urges to clean up territory near Svisloch River in Minsk

MINSK, 2 September (BelTA) – It is necessary to clean up the territory near the Svisloch River in Minsk, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said, BelTA has learned.

“There are many plans, great plans, but look at what is happening with this river. Quays and other facilities are wrecked. Therefore, I have given an instruction to refurbish them,” the President said.

“Perhaps, we will modernize them when we have money. But the main thing is not to decorate them with marble or granite. We need to improve what we have. And it is to be done quickly. We need to restore what we have. Sooner or later we will have to do it,” the head of state added.

The President was briefed on the efforts to beautify the territories near the Svisloch River in Minsk and the plans for the future.
