Lukashenko urges closer ties with transnational corporations to attract investment

MINSK, 28 January (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko suggests establishing closer cooperation with transnational corporations in order to attract investment into the country. He made the statement at the session of the board of the Interior Ministry to discuss the performance of law enforcement bodies in 2015, BelTA has learned.

According to the head of state, transnational corporations have started to actively withdraw money from China. "Where do they take it? They are looking for a place. We need to make an offer,” the President said.

"After all, these corporations helped China growth. Let us make an offer to them. They are looking our way already, and many want to invest in Belarus. This is good for us,” Alexander Lukashenko said.

The President drew attention to the need for maintaining rigid order. "No businessman will come here if there is no order. We need to survive this period and bring here those who have money so that we could earn for ourselves and so that our people could live better,” the President said.
