MINSK, 8 September (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has arrived for the sports festival to mark the Minsk City Day. The event is running in Pobeditelei Avenue near the Palace of Sports, BelTA has learned.
The president is accompanied by his youngest son Nikolai. Alexander Lukashenko is expected to participate, as part of the National Olympic Committee team, in the roller ski and roller skate relay competitions among the teams of government bodies and universities.
The big sports festival will span four competition areas in several sports. In addition to the relay races the program includes the international roller skate competitions Roller Stars, sport dances, cheer-leading, Oriental martial arts, weightlifting, power-lifting, workout, 3x3 basketball, 4x4 park volleyball, cycling figure competition, rowing, canoeing, and sailing.
