MINSK, 30 May (BelTA) – Belarus President, President of the National Olympic Committee Alexander Lukashenko suggested reviewing the report of the audit commission of the Belarusian National Olympic Committee as he delivered a speech at the Olympic Assembly on 30 May, BelTA has learned.

The president heard out a report of the audit commission. “You say that there were no violations, that everything was normal,” he said. In his regard, Alexander Lukashenko asked what where the grounds then for the claims of law enforcement bodies towards the NOC executive committee regarding the construction of certain facilities.

“There were the issues regarding the accuracy of construction and its compliance with legal regulations, particularly, in Gomel,” the president was informed. However, the audit commission did not have broader and more objective information.

“I would like the NOC members to agree with my proposal. Leonid Vasilyevich [Chairman of the State Control Committee Leonid Anfimov] is present here. I would like him to review the report of the audit commission. Please take a look at the revenues and expenses parts once again. I would like you and the Belarus President Administration to analyze their expenses,” Alexander Lukashenko said.

“Such general reports of the audit commission cannot be submitted to the president. All in all, these are huge funds,” the president added.

The president's proposal was supported by the participants of the session.
