Lukashenko sends Independence Day greetings to Turkmenistan

MINSK, 27 October (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow as the country celebrates the 25th anniversary of independence, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“Over a quarter of a century Turkmenistan has achieved a lot in economic development and improved the wellbeing of its people. Peace and accord in the society, and the responsible foreign policy are the pillars of the country's high international standing,” the message of greetings reads.

Alexander Lukashenko remarked that over the years the Belarusian-Turkmenistan relations have been relying on friendship, mutual respect and equal dialogue.

“The existing level of strategic partnership is our common legacy. I am convinced that by joint efforts we will be able to preserve and multiply it,” the head of state stressed.
