MINSK, 26 September (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to the participants of the international conference on coherent and nonlinear optics, lasers, applications and technologies ICONO/LAT 2016 in Minsk, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“I cordially welcome you in Belarus. The decision to hold this important forum in Belarus testifies to the acknowledgement of a big contribution of Belarusian physicists to the development of cutting-edge science and technology,” the message of greetings reads.
The head of state is convinced that the conference will facilitate the large-scale exchange of intellectual achievements, promote scientific and technical cooperation, coordination of fundamental and applied research. Thanks to this forum Belarusian specialists will have an opportunity to showcase their achievements, evaluate their position in the world of science, use the achievements of science in the economy and production, Alexander Lukashenko noted.
