MINSK, 28 October (BelTA) - Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko extended greetings to Belarusian State University on occasion of the 95th anniversary of its founding, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The President noted that over the years the University has trained more than 150,000 specialists who have made a significant contribution to Belarusian science, culture and economy. Among its alumni are many famous statesmen, scientists, members of the intelligentsia.
“Profound knowledge and practical experience of its faculty, respect for traditions ensure a high level of training, create the intellectual wealth of Belarus and strengthen the country's standing on the world stage,” the message reads.
Alexander Lukashenko expressed his confidence that with its great educational, scientific and cultural potential, the University will continue to foster real professionals and true patriots.
