Lukashenko, Putin to hold talks in Sochi

MINSK, 22 August (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has left for Russia, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

During the visit to Russia Alexander Lukashenko will hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Sochi. The heads of state will discuss in detail a broad range of matters making part of Belarus-Russia cooperation, interaction within the framework of integration unions and cooperation on the international arena, as well as the global agenda.

BelTA reported earlier that the possibility to hold a meeting in Sochi was discussed during a phone conversation between Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin on 23 July. Back then, the heads of state agreed to keep working to build on positive trends in the bilateral cooperation.
