Lukashenko, Poroshenko hold meeting in Kiev

KIEV, 21 July (BelTA) – A meeting of Presidents of Belarus and Ukraine Alexander Lukashenko and Petro Poroshenko has begun in Kiev, BelTA has learned.

The meeting began with an official welcome ceremony for the Belarus President, with the participation of the guards of honor. After the national anthems of the two countries were performed and members of the delegations welcomed, the heads of state proceeded into the building of the Ukrainian President's Administration for one-on-one talks. The presidents are set to discuss a wide range of issues of the Belarusian-Ukrainian cooperation.

Before the official negotiations, Alexander Lukashenko laid a wreath at the Monument of Eternal Glory at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. He also visited the memorial to the victims of Holodomor where he placed a symbolic flower basket.
