Lukashenko, Pashinyan discuss bilateral relations, cooperation in EAEU by telephone

MINSK, 30 July (BelTA) – On the initiative of the Armenian side Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko had a telephone conversation with Armenia Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The sides discussed the development of trade and economic relations, praised the increase in the Belarusian-Armenian trade turnover. At the same time, Alexander Lukashenko and Nikol Pashinyan agreed that there is a huge untapped potential in cooperation between the two countries. They agreed to do their best to live up to this potential.

The Belarusian president and the Armenian prime minister discussed a set of issues pertaining to the development of the Eurasian Economic Union, including the results of the recent session of the EAEU heads of government in St. Petersburg.

Alexander Lukashenko and Nikol Pashinyan also mentioned the situation around Armenia's charges against CSTO Secretary General Yuri Khachaturov which is widely discussed in mass media.
