Lukashenko, Orda discuss pensionable service issues

MINSK, 19 May (BelTA) - Pensionable service issues were discussed at the meeting of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko with Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus (FTUB) Mikhail Orda on 19 May, BelTA has learned.

“Pension coverage issues were discussed. We focused on certain categories of people whose personable service period is not big enough due to objective reasons,” Mikhail Orda said after the meeting.

He added that this pertains to people taking care of disabled persons, families with many children. For example, the period of leave for childcare is included in the pensionable service period of people with three children in full, for people with four children – in part. “We believe it is wrong, and the president supported us. We have already prepared a draft decree, and it will be submitted to the head of state,” Mikhail Orda said.
