Lukashenko offers condolences to Pakistan over fire victims

MINSK, 27 June (BelTA) – On behalf of the Belarusian people and himself President Alexander Lukashenko expressed condolences to Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, families and friends of the victims of a fire caused by a road accident in Punjab Province, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“It is with deep pain that I have learned the news about the tragedy in Pakistan's Bahawalpur – a massive fire caused by a road accident. Unfortunately, in this difficult time no one is safe from accidents claiming the lives of people. The tragedy is especially terrible because it happened in the run-up to Eid al-Fitr which marks the end of Ramadan,” the head of state noted.

Alexander Lukashenko stressed that in this difficult moment Belarusians mourn together with the families of the victims of this heinous tragedy. He also wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
