MINSK, 10 December (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has offered deep condolences to the family and friends of Yury Luzhkov in connection with his passing, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
It is with great pain and sorrow that the head of state has learned the news about the passing of Yury Luzhkov. “A talented politician and outstanding statesman, a true friend of Belarus, who did his best to promote the unity of the two brotherly nations, establishment and development of Belarus-Russia relations, passed away,” the message of condolences reads. “He was the initiator of many landmark projects, which helped enhance contacts between our countries.”
