Lukashenko: No closed topics in Belarus-Moldova cooperation

CHISINAU, 18 April (BelTA) – Belarus is ready to cooperate with Moldova in every area this country is interested in. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko made the statement after negotiations with Moldova President Igor Dodon on 18 April, BelTA has learned.

Alexander Lukashenko said: “I would like to put it simply that there are no closed topics in our cooperation. I want America, the European Union, and the East to hear it. We are ready to work with you starting with the defense industry — if you need it — and ending with any civilian products, agriculture, and food.”

The president stressed that Belarus is ready to act as fast as possible if Moldovan partners are ready for it. “We are ready as much as you are ready for it. Let's not waste time,” said the head of state.

Expanded-participation negotiations in progress

Alexander Lukashenko also pointed out that Belarus and Moldova should not restrict themselves to simple trade. They should create joint ventures instead. Work to that effect has been going on for quite some time, however, more vigorous efforts are needed. “Moreover, we will train specialists for you,” added the Belarusian head of state.
