Lukashenko meets with foreign leaders on sidelines of SСO summit

ASTANA, 9 June (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko held talks with foreign leaders on the sidelines of the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Astana, BelTA has learned.

The head of state has a productive and substantial conversation with India Prime Minister Narendra Modi who invited Alexander Lukashenko to visit India in autumn.

The Belarusian leader also met with Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the run-up to his visit to Belarus in August.

Apart from that, Alexander Lukashenko met with the leaders of Russia, China, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan.

The minister of foreign affairs of Iran expressed interest in the visit of Alexander Lukashenko for the development of a new agenda of bilateral cooperation.

Earlier Alexander Lukashenko met with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
