Lukashenko: Interior Ministry troops safeguard the constitutional order

MINSK, 16 March (BelTA) – The Interior Ministry troops safeguard the constitutional order, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said in his message of greetings to the soldiers and veterans of the Interior Ministry troops on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of these troops. The message was read out at the solemn meeting on 16 March, BelTA has learned.

“The troops that were formed as a state-run military organization for the protection of the society and the state have always fulfilled their duty with honesty and dignity. They have always been a guarantor of Belarus' progressive development,” the message of greetings reads. “Today it is a well-coordinated, highly mobile military organism solving unique and extremely difficult service and military tasks in peaceful time. The Interior Ministry troops safeguard the constitutional order making a contribution to the maintenance of accord in the Republic of Belarus.”

The head of state especially thanked veterans for not losing connection with their military units, comrades in arms and for being actively involved in the patriotic education of youth.

Alexander Lukashenko wished the Interior Ministry troops strong health, happiness, new achievements in the noble service to the Fatherland.
