Lukashenko extends best wishes for success of G20 Summit in Hangzhou

MINSK, 18 August (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko extended the best wishes for success of the G20 Summit to China President Xi Jinping as the country is gearing up to host the summit in early September in Hangzhou. The head of state offered his best wishes as he met with Meng Jianzhu, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Secretary of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China, BelTA has learned.

“Your country is now preparing to host the G20 Summit. I am sure China will offer its opinion on the ways to solve the problems in the global economy and politics. I would like you to convey to my friend Xi Jinping the best wishes for the success of the Hangzhou Summit,” the Belarusian president said.

The head of state also stressed that Belarus is closely watching the rising of the international prestige of China.
