Lukashenko expresses condolences to Spain over terrorist attack victims

MINSK, 18 August (BelTA) - Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has expressed condolences to King Felipe VI of Spain, families and friends of the victims of the terrorist attacks in Barcelona and Cambrils, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The head of state emphasized that the Belarusian nation mourns together with all Spaniards.

“Unfortunately, to achieve their goals that are unacceptable in the modern society those fanatics use cruel, inhuman and at the same time cowardly methods against innocent people. Actions of those people cannot be justified, they deserve just and severe punishment,” the message of condolences reads.

Alexander Lukashenko expressed confidence that the Spanish people will overcome these ordeals with courage and will manage to preserve democratic values and national unity.
