Lukashenko congratulates Putin on winning Russian presidential election

MINSK, 19 March (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated Vladimir Putin on winning the presidential election in Russia, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“This result testifies to the high level of trust and support of Russia's aim to promote its social and economic development, enhance its authority on the international arena by Russian citizens. I am convinced that the historical ties of friendship and mutual understanding between our nations will be a guarantee for the further expansion of the Belarusian-Russian strategic partnership,” the message of greetings reads.

“We hope that you will visit our country for the session of the Supreme State Council of the Union State to discuss topical issues of our bilateral cooperation,” the Belarusian leader remarked.

Alexander Lukashenko wished Vladimir Putin strong health, unflagging energy and every success for the benefit of the brotherly people of Russia.
